About neon-momentum

Where Passion for Education Meets Financial Expertise

Founded in Bristol, driven by the belief that money skills should not be left to chance.

Our Origin

neon-momentum began in 2020 when a group of educators and financial advisors noticed a troubling pattern: young adults entering university and the workforce with almost no understanding of budgets, savings, or debt.

The conversations that followed led to a simple question: what if we could reach young people earlier, before bad habits formed? What if money management could be taught as naturally as reading or arithmetic?

We launched our first pilot workshop with 12 students at a Bristol secondary school. The response was overwhelming. Teachers asked us to return. Parents wanted programmes for younger siblings. Within a year, we had expanded across the city.

Our Mission

To ensure every young person in Bristol has access to practical financial education that prepares them for real-world decisions, regardless of their background or family circumstances.

Our Core Values

01

Accessibility

Financial education should not be a privilege. We offer sliding-scale pricing and partner with schools in underserved areas to ensure no child is excluded.

02

Practicality

Theory without application is forgettable. Every concept we teach connects to decisions young people will actually face, from saving for a bike to understanding student loans.

03

Respect

We treat young people as capable learners, not passive recipients. Their questions drive our discussions, and we honour the financial realities of diverse family situations.

04

Transparency

We openly share our curriculum, methods, and outcomes. Parents and schools can see exactly what their children are learning and why.

Learning That Sticks

We avoid lectures and worksheets. Instead, our sessions use role-play, simulations, and group challenges that make abstract concepts tangible.

A child who has negotiated a mock purchase, experienced the frustration of overspending, or celebrated reaching a savings goal remembers those lessons far longer than any textbook fact.

We also involve families. Each programme includes take-home materials designed to spark conversations between parents and children, turning learning into an ongoing dialogue rather than a one-time event.
